Web Design

The term web design is a broard generalization used to describe the way that content is delivered to users through the World Wide Web using a web browser. The aim of web design is to create a website that shows a collection of online content which may include documents and applications. A website can include text, images, sounds and other content which may or may not be of an interactive nature.

Designing a website involves making the entire structure of a website and this includes the information that is displayed, the way in which the information is displayed on pages and the conceptual design with company branding. All these factors are made to display the company’s message in an appealing and informative way in order to capture the eye of the user and generate business for a company.

The first step to making a website is to build up a clear strategic plan of what the website is there to achieve, for example, is the website there to evoke an emotional response to its content and get a message spread or is it there to generate business for a company and bring in enquiries and money. Once the strategy has been decided upon the design of the website will be easy to follow and will do the purpose of which it was made to do. Web design is an important feature of all websites as allows a website to fulfill its purpose and be a profitable asset to its owner.
